Chemical Peel
hemical peels are procedures involving application of medicated chemicals (alpha and beta hydroxy acids, retinoids and phenols) on the skin for therapeutic and cosmetic benefits.
If the medicated chemicals are used under supervision of a doctor, they are very safe and effective. After carefully examining your skin, your doctor will suggest a single or a combination peel for you. As the skin textures and tones may vary in different parts of the face, at different times and in different persons, the best choice of the peel is always individualised by the doctor.

No. Peeling does not lead to thinning of the skin, as it is a method of skin stimulation. On the contrary, it is used to rejuvenate the thin skin (as in ageing skin or steroidal overuse cases). When the upper layers of the skin are shedding off, newer layers beneath it are stimulated to grow faster, resulting in the cosmetic and therapeutic benefit.
Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a long-term condition where pale white patches develop on the skin. It's caused by the lack of melanin, which is the pigment in skin.
Yes it is. Depending upon the type of vitiligo, they have different response rates to treatment. But good medical and surgical options are available. No distance mode of genetic inheritance is noted and it is not infectious or contagious.
Vitiligo surgery is a very safe and good option for the cosmetic management of vitiligo provided it is stable, and has not increased or decreased in size, with or without medical treatments over 2 years.

Acne Treatment
Acne is a skin disorder which is related to our general health. Due to stresses and mild hormonal fluctuations, acne flare are common, even in adults. As all acne have a potential to scar the skin, they should be treated as fast as possible. After they resolve, appropriate maintenance creams, suggested by your doctor, must be applied to prevent their recurrences.
Acne scars are very tough tissue changes which do not respond to oral or application medications. They can only be modified by repeated stimulation and breakage, by minor procedures, over a period of a few monthly sessions, to stimulate collagen synthesis and get a cosmetic benefit. The procedures done commonly for acne scars are microneedling, microneedling with radiofrequency ablation (MNRF), CO2 lasers and subcision. Treatments are individualised according to the skin type, the severity of the scarring and the lifestyle, keeping in mind the aftercare which is always needed, as different procedures have different downtime.
Microdermabrasion involves suction and exfoliation of the skin used granular powders. This does not require a prior application of a numbing cream, and has no downtime. It is used commonly for skin rejuvenation. Microneedling involves stimulating the skin by repeated puncturing of very fine needles. This is also an OPD procedure, but it requires an application of a numbing cream before it is started. This is used for acne scars, antiageing and skin rejuvenation therapies. This has a downtime for 2 to 4 days and must be followed by appropriate after care. Sessions are individualised according the to skin types, sensitivity, skin disorders, tolerance and lifestyle of the patient, to give the best possible cosmetic results.

Skin Pigmentation & Laser
Whenever there is a darkening of the skin due to increase in the melanin content, it is commonly referred to as skin pigmentation. It is of various kinds, like melasma, freckles, after trauma etc. and accordingly there are many ways to manage it. Creams, oral medications, peels and lasers are the most common methods used, depending upon the type and severity of the pigmentation.
Yes. it can be but some types of pigmentation resolve permanently whereas others may relapse after sometime, requiring a long term management and maintenance.
Lasers are safe and effective for the treatment of pigmentation, provided that they are used under a doctor's supervision. Basic after care of sunprotection, moisturisation and medication is a must for optimal responses. They must be avoided in active infections, allergic tendencies and where intense sun exposure is expected. Qswitch Nd:YAG lasers are used for hyperpigmentation.
Tattoo Removal
Qswitch Nd:YAG laser is used to remove unwanted tattoos. It is very safe and targets only the tattoo pigments. It is done under the supervision of a doctor by using a skin numbing cream, and multiple monthly sessions are required, depending upon the tattoo type, size and treatment responses.
Unwanted Hair Removal
Diode laser is used for unwanted hair removal.
