Are these OPD procedures? How long do they take?
Yes.. they are performed in the Outpatient only, under safe sterile conditions.
The time taken may vary from half an hour to 2 hours.
What Is The Down Time?
Down time is the time taken for the skin to heal and normalise, so that one can start going out for daily work. It may vary from and may be of No downtime to a few days to a week. Hydrafacials have no downtime and show an instant improvement after the procedures.

Does Peeling Cause Thinning Or Damage Of The Skin?

When Should One Consider Vitiligo Surgery?
Vitiligo surgery is a very safe and good option for the cosmetic management of vitiligo provided it is stable, and has not increased or decreased in size, with or without medical treatments over 2 years.

Acne Treatment.
Can Acne Be Treated Permanently?
Acne is a skin disorder which is related to our general health. Due to stresses and mild hormonal fluctuations, acne flare are common, even in adults. As all acne have a potential to scar the skin, they should be treated as fast as possible. After they resolve, appropriate maintenance creams, suggested by your doctor, must be applied to prevent their recurrences.
Can Acne Scars Disappear With Time Or Treatment?
Acne scars are very tough tissue changes which do not respond to oral or application medications. They can only be modified by repeated stimulation and breakage, by minor procedures, over a period of a few monthly sessions, to stimulate collagen synthesis and get a cosmetic benefit. The procedures done commonly for acne scars are microneedling, microneedling with radiofrequency ablation (MNRF), CO2 lasers and subcision. Treatments are individualised according to the skin type, the severity of the scarring and the lifestyle, keeping in mind the aftercare which is always needed, as different procedures have different downtime.
Is Microdermabrasion Different From Microneedling? What Is Microneedling?
Microdermabrasion involves suction and exfoliation of the skin used granular powders. This does not require a prior application of a numbing cream, and has no downtime. It is used commonly for skin rejuvenation. Microneedling involves stimulating the skin by repeated puncturing of very fine needles. This is also an OPD procedure, but it requires an application of a numbing cream before it is started. This is used for acne scars, antiageing and skin rejuvenation therapies. This has a downtime for 2 to 4 days and must be followed by appropriate after care. Sessions are individualised according the to skin types, sensitivity, skin disorders, tolerance and lifestyle of the patient, to give the best possible cosmetic results.

Creams, oral medications, peels and lasers are the most common methods used, depending upon the type and severity of the pigmentation.

Yes. it can be but some types of pigmentation resolve permanently whereas others may relapse after sometime, requiring a long term management and maintenance.
Are Lasers Safe? Which Laser Is Used For Hyperpigmentation?
Lasers are safe and effective for the treatment of pigmentation, provided that they are used under a doctor's supervision. Basic after care of sunprotection, moisturisation and medication is a must for optimal responses. They must be avoided in active infections, allergic tendencies and where intense sun exposure is expected. Qswitch Nd:YAG lasers are used for hyperpigmentation.
